Why Pay for an Adwords Evaluation When So Many Companies Offer Them For Free?
What our clients are saying...
"At first glance I was skeptical about Net Return Marketing. This was a business model I had not been introduced to before. The better they did their job, the more they saved me, they were then able to share in my savings! It sounded too good to be true.
I kept asking myself where was the downside for me? As decisions go, this was one of my better ones. I would recommend Net Return Marketing to anyone in the pay-per-click arena.."
SermonSpice.com & WorshipSpice.com
"We have been very pleased with the results that Net Return Marketing has helped us to achieve. Our initial focus - achieving pay-per-click results in a more cost effective manner – has been very positive and we look forward to phase 2 where we’ll try to grow our overall sales volume.."
Michael D. Allen
BaristaWorks.com & QwikStock.com
"During the time I've been working with Net Return Marketing, they have cut my cost per lead in half and at the same time over tripled my monthly lead volume."
"Our Academies engaged Net Return Marketing to develop an Internet marketing strategy that would produce higher lead volumes. Within one week of launching our new campaigns, our lead conversion rate went up from 2% to 10%."
"Thank you, Net Return Marketing, for helping me understand my online market and for taking some of the uncertainty out of opening a new online retail store."
The Truth About "Free" Adwords Evaluations.
Many PPC management companies offer “free assessments” or “evaluations” as an enticement to get you to contact them and ultimately as a way to get you to sign up for their services. The reality is these “free assessments” are generally worth about what they cost -- nothing.
The usual format of these assessments is this: The company offers to spend a few minutes talking to you about your Adwords account (if you have one) or about the Adwords market you are looking to enter (Adwords and PPC are used interchangeably here). During this time together they may point out a few things and possibly give you a few tips. These types of assessments fall short because there is rarely enough time for a PPC expert to get a real understanding of what your business is and how it operates in relation to your PPC program.
What you usually get from a free evaluation is a thinly disguised sales pitch which illustrates why their program is the best solution for your needs. But, if you do not truly understand your needs, and your perspective provider has not taken the time to really understand your needs, then how can they possibly give you a good solution?
The answer is -- They can’t give you a complete analysis or solution by spending a few minutes on the phone with you. In spite of this fact, they ask you to make a big commitment which almost certainly will involve a sizeable setup fee and a long-term contract.
You don’t want to hire someone who is looking to just turn some dials within your Adwords account to collect their monthly fee.
It’s not that these types of programs can’t get results - sometimes they can – sometimes stellar results. The problem is, results are usually hit or miss because they don’t really know the nuances of your business before they have you locked into a larger commitment. And often this hit or miss approach leads to a mountain of frustration and a lot of wasted time, energy and money for you as a client.
Here’s a common scenario:
One to two months into your contract, you are not seeing results (in fact you may have gone backward). You can tell that the PPC management company did something, but you are not really sure what they did or how it relates to making you more money. After your free evaluation they seemed so completely confident of your success, and now they are suddenly acting confused and even possibly looking to you for answers.
Why is this happening? It’s happening because before they got knee-deep into your business and started making changes to your Adwords account (or launching a new account for you), they didn’t invest the time (and probably don’t have the know how) to really understand your business or market.
And guess what? They still don’t understand it because they still have not taken the time to really talk to you (or research your market) to uncover all the necessary information that is needed to chart a comprehensive, long-term plan for success.
The truth is that the only way you can reach the highest levels of success in your PPC market is if your Pay Per Click management company takes a holistic approach to your campaign which includes not just your PPC account but also:
Your analytics systems, and
The market positioning of your product or service.
To ignore any one of these elements can be the difference between success and failure.
And, this “holistic approach” has to start well before you enter into a longer-term commitment. It starts in your assessment or “evaluation” and should grow out from there.
In-depth Paid Assessments = Greater Value, Lower Risk and Better Long-term Results.
We believe the best way to begin a Pay Per Click management relationship is with an in-depth assessment of your business, your website, your market, your unique positioning, your competition, and any existing marketing channel. This allows our team to thoroughly understand all of the unique aspects of your business and help position you for success.
We offer an In-depth Assessment as a stand alone service with a money back guarantee. You do not have to participate in a longer-term program with us to qualify for this service.
The goal of NRM's In-depth Assessment is two-fold:
- To completely dissect and understand your market, competition, website, Adwords account (if you have one), market positioning of your product or service and your overall business model as it relates to your PPC campaign.
- To deliver detailed analysis and recommendations which will allow you to walk a clear pathway to achieving and ultimately exceeding your goals.
Your Assessment Culminates with a Comprehensive Report with an Online Marketing Strategic Plan
At the conclusion of our In-depth Assessment you will receive a comprehensive report which includes an online marketing strategic plan. The report will be densely packed with specific observations, recommendations, and action items that directly relate to your long-term PPC success (typical report length is 12 pages). To ensure you get the maximum benefit from the summary, we’ll review it with you over the telephone.
Important Note: All of our In-depth Assessments are conducted by our CEO - Greg Jerum. Greg has personally helped over 50 companies succeed online. He has extensive experience working with both Ecommerce and Lead Generation websites in both the business-to-business and business-to-consumer sales arenas. Through six years plus of intensive Internet marketing work, Greg has developed a unique ability to quickly chart a path to success for a new Pay Per Click program or dramatically improve results for an existing program.
Benefits of our In-depth Assessment Stretch Far Beyond Your Adwords Account. Within your assessment we look at every aspect of your business that relates to your PPC success, which means you receive actionable information about how to:
- Improve your website to convert visitors into customers more efficiently.
- Strengthen your unique positioning within your market so your offer stands head-and-shoulders above your competition.
- Understand what Analytics tracking you need to generate the necessary business intelligence to take you to the top of your market.
The ultimate result of this process is you will not only have potent actionable advice which will chart the way to your PPC account success but, if properly applied, this advice will lead to a better converting website.
No Long-term Commitment Required
The In-depth Assessment is meant to act as a stand-alone program. If you decide not to retain us as your PPC specialist, you can take the summary report from the assessment to any other competent Adwords manager and they should be able to understand the recommendations and execute a strategy for you successfully.
Straightforward Money-Back Guarantee
At the completion of your In-depth Assessment, if you are not absolutely satisfied with the depth and quality of the information and recommendations you receive, we will give you 100% of your money back.
A Gateway to a Performance-Based Relationship
At Net Return Marketing we offer Performance-Based Adwords Management programs. These programs differ from the industry standard in that before the program begins we make very specific results projections which are backed by robust performance guarantees. Bottom line is less risk for you as a client and typically much better long-term results.
The only reason we can offer performance-based programs of this nature is because all of our clients who participate in a performance-based program first participate in an In-depth Assessment. The depth of information uncovered in the assessment allows us to project your result much more precisely, which we can then back with confidence through our performance guarantee.
Our Assessment Process – 5 Steps to Superior Adwords Results...
Step 1 - Initial Adwords Account and Website Analysis. Our first step is to get an initial understanding of your Pay Per Click program right now. We analyze your website and your Adwords account if you have one. This first step allows us to approach our initial interview with you from a greater degree of understanding about how your Pay Per Click account is functioning in relation to your business.
Step 2 - Initial In-depth Telephone Interview. Next, we do an in-depth telephone interview with you and any key members of your team. During the course of this interview, we discuss all aspects of your business that relate to your Pay Per Click advertising. The purpose of this interview is first and foremost for us to understand from your perspective (as the business owner or executive in charge) how every aspect of your business that relates to your Pay Per Click advertising is functioning. What are your strong points? What are your weak points? Where do you see opportunities? What difficulties have you had or are you currently having?
Step 3 – In-depth Account, Website, Market & Competition Analysis. Once we've completed the initial interview, we're ready to dive head-long into our in-depth research. In this phase of research we dissect all aspects of your Adwords account (if you have one) and your business that relate to your Adwords success, including:
- Top to Bottom Adwords Performance Analysis. Beginning with a “fundamentals” analysis and culminating in specific recommendations to accelerate performance, we will review all aspects of your Adwords account. Here’s a short list of the areas that will be analyzed: keywords, negative keywords, use of keyword match types, keyword positioning, bid management, ad group structures, campaign structures, campaign settings and ad copy.
- “Inside Out” Website Analysis. The marketing effectiveness of your website is integral to the overall success of your Adwords campaign. When evaluating your website we will make sure no stone goes unturned. We’ll look at the strengths and weakness of your website presentation, copy, overall functionality and usability.
*** For Ecommerce stores, we will analyze your product presentation, positioning and price points. We’ll also look at your shopping cart funnel, shipping policies, return policies and more.
*** For Lead Generation websites, we will examine every aspect of your landing page(s) and lead funnel to make sure the visitor-to-customer conversion rate is efficient and effective.
- Complete Market Evaluation. A few questions that will be asked and answered in this section are: How saturated is your market? Where do the hidden or underexploited opportunities lie? What is the overall potential for growth within your market? What are the best strategies for gaining further market share and ultimately dominant market share?
- Total Competition Analysis. Questions that will be asked and answered in this section are: Who are your top competitors within the search engines and what are their best practices? How can the best practices of your top competitors be used to strengthen your market positioning? Where do you excel where your competitors do not? How can we further leverage your strengths to create an even stronger position within your market?
Step 4 - Creation of Comprehensive Report and Strategic Plan. With the research phase complete we are now ready to create your comprehensive report and oinline marketing strategic plan. Typically these reports are about ten to twelve pages long and are densely packed with specific observations and actionable recommendations.
Step 5 - Telephone Review of Strategic Plan. After you receive your comprehensive report and take time to review it, we discuss it with you. During this time we make sure you clearly understand all of the information presented and you are able to ask follow-up questions you may have.
What Happens After The In-depth Assessment is Complete? Although you are under no obligation to participate in a longer-term marketing program with us, most who participate in assessments do continue with us. In most cases once you have participated in an assessment, you will qualify for one of our Performance-based Adwords Management programs. We will provide a proposal for you.
How much does the In-depth Assessment Cost? The cost of the Adwords assessment (or any one-channel assessment) is a one-time fee of $1,995.
All Channel Assessment. If you have multiple existing marketing channels or additional channels that you're not using now but you would like us to evaluate (SEO, PPC, Shopping Engines, Email, Affiliate etc..), we offer an “all channel” assessment for $3,495.
How can I sign up or get more information about the assessment? If you would like to sign up for an assessment or simply talk to us about the assessment process, simply fill out the form below or give us a call at 800.476.5163.
Your request for information will be responded to by one of our Internet Marketing experts (not a salesperson) who will be happy to answer all of your questions but will not pressure you with any kind of sales pitch.
Note: We take your privacy and personal information very seriously. We will never share or sell your information -- Ever.
